Pastel paintings of real and imagined landscapes. Brilliant colors coupled with intricate details form the basis of my artwork. Viewing my art is like going on a tour of natural or imaginary landscapes.

My pastel paintings, primarily of landscapes, are my interpretation of the world as I see it. Brilliant color is the hallmark of soft pastel and this characteristic makes it particularly useful when I seek to capture the light and textures of the world around us. My artwork often varies from the desert and rock filled scenery of the Southwest to the verdant fields of East Texas and the Texas Gulf Coast. I know I have completed a painting when I can say to myself that would be a nice place to be. Or I may give full throttle to my imagination and just paint what comes to mind, often in a magical or fanciful way!
