Nita Risher McGlawn, a watercolorist and collage artist, is inspired by people...globally. She dabbles in mixed media as well. Having lived overseas several times, she loves to observe and create art reminiscent of her sojourns. In addition, her various acquired felines provide inspiration to paint and write.

Besides Sumatra and Java, Indonesia, Nita has lived in Muscat, Oman. She also lived 20+ years in South Louisiana, mais cher! "New Orleans Ambience" and "It's Called Acadiana" are her signature poems, but she continues to write whimsically about other subjects. Her first book publication will be coming out soon..."A Bama Primer," about her beloved University of Alabama. Soon to follow will be "Butch, the Traveling Expat Cat." Butch, born in Sumatra, was adopted, traveled with Nita, and retired in Texas. This book will cheerfully chronical his life.
