Krista Nix-Buckner is a part-time potter living and making pots a few miles outside of Houston in the piney woods near Hempstead, Texas. A self-confessed 'craft queen', Krista's first love is throwing porcelain on the wheel. To keep her hands busy while the kiln was firing, Krista started dying silk using a traditional Japanese resist method called 'shibori'.
