I am a self-taught artist working primarily with oil paints on canvas or canvas board. Most of my works include some type of recycled materials in them, whether it be soda cans, plastic milk jugs or old magazine pages. I love creating 2 dimensional works but also love the look and and vibrancy of oil paints.

I am a self-taught artist. I grew up in a small town in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. I have lived, however, more of my life in Houston than I lived in New York. I have dabbled in art all my life, even teaching classes for the past 7 years to home-school children. It wasn't until recently, when a friend commissioned a painting for a mutual friend's birthday, that I realized I needed to pursue my passion more intently. I am married with 5 children, all of whom have a great passion and a range of talent for drawing. addtothepagelist
