What is WLN all about? It's about reveling in this hottest, sultriest time of year. Life's too short to not have fun just because it's hot! Take to the streets in a neighborhood that's been around longer than air conditioning.

What kind of people love WLN in the Heights? People who love gallery crawls. People who love to stroll. People who like live music. People who like to shop at unique shops. People who like to play dress up. People who crave a classy street festival. People who love old neighborhoods.

Is it just later shopping and dining hours in the Heights? It is that and much more. It's kind of like Holiday shopping without the pressure or the obligations. Every shop has something special to welcome you. Read the list and the map at www.WhiteLinenNightHeights.com and you'll get the idea.

I hope you don't mean wassail at every shop, do you? OMG, no! Think white wine in cool art galleries. White Linen Martini drink specials at hip restaurants. Galleries and unique shops trying to woo you in with something refreshing.

Where did WLN come from? New Orleans, of course. Leave it to the Big Easy to invent a party for the one month that really doesn't have a holiday.

Is it easy to get around on WLN? That's the other thing that makes this evening special in the Heights. There will be cab stands, pedicabs motorized rickshaws and shuttles. You can park your car and walk or grab a shuttle for the longer stretches.

What are your favorite things about WLN? Dressing up in white, the art, White Linen Martinis, the music and just strolling in the Heights.

Should I make a dinner reservations in the Heights? Well, there will be lots of nibbles and hospitality parties at sponsors' locations but if you want to celebrate with a sit down dinner, definitely make a reservation.

WLN is from 4 to 10pm. What about after hours? Note the Art Market opens at 6pm If you haven't checked out the club and coffee house scene in the Heights lately, you're really missing out. Just don't forget where you parked your car. The WLN shuttle stop at 10:30. If you want to stay the night, there are B & B's also.
